Tapa Media (Screensaver) Information

Tapa POS allows for advertising media to be displayed primarily when the terminal is not in use on the main display and also full-screen on one additional display connected such as a customer facing display on the back of your POS.

Key Information

  • Multiple images can be uploaded, these will slideshow with a 10 second interval
  • JPG/PNG/GIF accepted
  • File size should be at the minimum possible
  • Media will be stretched uniformly to fill the available space

Login Screen

Login screen media is shown over the top of the user buttons area but keeps the right most third of the display always visible for user convenience. This area holds the noticeboard, login and clock-in/clock-out buttons.

Rear Display

Rear display media is shown full screen when a transaction is not in progress. When items are sold on the POS the display will switch to a full screen transaction grid until the transaction is stored, sent or finalised - after which the change screen will be shown for 20 seconds and then return to the media slideshow.

Rear display media can be sized appropriately to your hardware (typically 1024x768) - a support engineer can advise you of the display dimensions on request.
