A price model will determine the structure and method for determining prices, before you create price models you must first create the Sales Unit and the VAT Rate models. Price Models are attached to products to set the VAT rate of the Product.

On the navigation menu, select Settings and then Price Models.
Press the +New Price Model
The reference number will be automatically generated – We do not recommend changing this.

If you would like a Time Profile with a time default attached to the Price Model then you can add this under the reference.
Set the Sale Unit by pressing +Add Price Level, you can add more than one Sales Unit and select one to be the default. This can be used for example on products that are sold both eat in and take-way which require different Price Models.
From the drop-down menu choose the Sale Unit and next the VAT Rate.
Click Save and Update Tills when finished.
Examples
Pints
In the example of Pints two Price Models have been attached one for a full pint and one for a half pint. Both are for a restaurant therefore the VAT should be set to 20% according to the legalization from the HMRC.
Please not the VAT will change depending on current VAT rates.
Sit in/ Takeaway
This can be applied to items of food that will be sold in the sit in area of the business but the item is also sold as a takeaway. One price model can be added with a prompt asking which price model you would like to apply to the POS.
For this you will need to set up two price model. If you are using this method, we recommend pinning them to the sales screen on the POS, this will make is easy for staff to change between the two models.
