POS Users

Within POS Users a back-office administrator can configure the point-of-sale User information including security levels, terminal access and clock in and out information.

To add a User

  1. Click the New User button.

  2. By default, the Reference is populated with the next available in sequence, to overwrite this type the reference required into the Reference input box.

  1. Enter the User’s name into the box. This is the name of the user that will be shown on the POS.

  2. From the drop-down menu select the Role of the User.

  3. If you wish for the user button to be shown then simply select this button. If the user you are setting up is a Driver e.g., a delivery driver, Select the driver button.

  1. Select Next.

  2. Enter the hourly rate of the employee.

  3. You can exclude the employee from using a certain terminal. In the field of Exclude from terminal, simply select the terminal you want the employee to be exempt from using.

Adding a PIN Security Method.

  1. Select +Add Login Method.

  2. On the pop-up, from the drop-down menu select the type of security method. This will be PIN.

  3. In the key text box enter the pin the user will use to access the Point-Of Sale System.

  4. When you have finished, Select Add if correct and close if you wish to cancel

  1. If you want the pin to be required every time the user access the POS, select the compulsory box. If you need to delete the security method on the action field select the delete button.

  2. Save and select Update tills and send the Changes to the Till.

Adding a Swipe Card Security Method

  1. Select +Add Login Method.

  2. On the pop-up, from the drop-down menu select the type of security method. This will be Swipe Card.

  3. In the key text box enter the number on the back of the card. Alternatively, you can tap the card on the Swipe Scanner and the key will be automatically entered. Please note you must have selected the key text box before you tap the card.

  1. When you have finished, Select Add if correct and Close to cancel.

  2. Save and select Update tills and send the Changes to the Till.

Adding a Biometric Security Method.

  1. Select +Add Login Method.

  2. On the pop-up, from the drop-down menu select the type of security method. This will be Finger Vein (Biometric)

  3. Select the Key Textbox, On the top of your browser select the icon with the finger print.

  1. An Enrollment pop up will appear. The user must enter their finger into the scanner. When the finger print turns green the enrollment has been successful. Select Continue when finished and the key field will be filled out with the finger print key.

  2. When you have finished, Select Add if correct and close if you wish to cancel.

  3. Save and select Update tills and send the Changes to the Till.
