Promotions section is used to set any discounts, offers and promotions that can be triggered by the point-of-sale or ordering App. The promotions app is very flexible and can trigger automatically based on conditions being met and can result in an Outcome. Promotions can be manually triggered by selecting the promotion on the point-of-sale or by entering a promo code on the ordering app.
To add a Promotion:
Select New Promotion
By default, the Reference is populated with the next available in sequence, to overwrite this type the reference required into the Reference input box.
Enter the name of the Promotion into the Description box.
Enter a brief description of what the promotion is for into the Information box.
Select the priority. (Please note, priority is used for when the same criteria apply in multiple promotions the promotion with the higher priority will apply.)
Select whether the Promotion will Auto Apply or has to be triggered manually.
Select Next.

2. Choose the Condition Type:
Account- applies the promotion to a single or multiple Accounts.
Account Group- applies the promotion to all account linked to an Account Group or groups.
Department- applies the promotion to products linked to a Department or Departments.
Group- applies promotion to products within a Department linked to a Group or Groups.
Product- applies the promotion to an individual Product or multiple Products.
Time Profile- applies the promotion only if the current time is within the configured Time Profile. (Please note, time profiles can be set for a range of date on certain days of the week)
Order Type- applies the promotion based on whether the order is a Table, Delivery or Collection.
3.Select the Qualifying Criteria if applicable
Any- if any of the conditions apply the promotion is triggered e.g. any product selected.
Any Unique- the condition must be unique and not repeated e.g. the same product sold twice can’t trigger the promotion.
All- If all the conditions are met e.g. all the products selected must be sold.
Greater Than- If the value is greater than the promotion is triggered e.g. a sale must be greater than 1.00.
Less Than- If the value is less than the promotion is triggered e.g. a sale must be less than 10.00.
Equal To- If the value is equal to the promotion is triggered e.g. a sale must equal 5.00.
4.Select the Trigger Quantity if required The number of products from a department required to trigger a promotion. (Please note, if limiting discount by cover quantity must be set as 0 meaning any products within a group or department apply.)
5. Select the conditions e.g. Account, Account group, Department, Group, Product, Time Profile, Order Type.
6. Click +Or to add an alternative set of qualifying conditions.
7. Select Add New Condition to add another condition which must be met before a promotion applies.
8. Select the Outcome i.e. what discount or value the promotion will calculate.
Action- Is the value or percentage that will be applied Type-
Apply To-
9. If required set the Max Value of discount that this promotion allows If required set the Max Type
10. If the promotion is to be triggered on the checkout of the app by code
11. Select Save to finish
Example:
A simple discount can be applied as a promotion against all items that qualify. For example, you may wish to apply a 10% discount to all products, the easiest way is to select the groups that you wish to apply this discount is against. e.g. Food and Drink group, so any products linked to departments in these groups will be discounted.
Setting the outcome. The action should be set to 10 and the drop down is percent off. This will work for different percentages up to 100 percent. This promotion can be applied to items or basket it is your choice. The max value and max type were not used in this promotion. Below is a outline of how this promotion will look in the back office.
