A number of kitchen printers from Rongta have been found to have identical MAC addresses. This causes a 15 second negotiation delay in the OS when making use of more than one printer in a POS system.
The printers affected typically have the MAC address A8 01 57 12 34 56
(you can check this at the top of the self-test print out).
Further, this fix applies to any scenario where a printer on the network has the same MAC address as another.
Using the printer tool from the manufacturer, change the last two digits of the MAC address to be unique within your network.
The printer tool might not pre-populate the input box so you may need to enter the original address first and then change the last digits.
In our example the first five boxes are A8 01 57 12 34
followed by a unique number in the last box.
